The Story

Released in 1971, the VH Valiant Charger was Chrysler Australia's response to the Monaro and Falcon coupes. Built on a shortened Valiant wheelbase, it remains one of the most distinctive designs of the era.

The hero of the range was the E49 'Six Pack'. While competitors used V8 power, Chrysler pushed the 265 Hemi inline-six to incredible levels, setting a production-car acceleration record that stood in Australia for 27 years.

Production Volume

Approximately 17,900 VH Chargers produced.
